Today, some people use the internet to improve their English ability. Sometime my classmates and I also use it to improve English. For example, you can have a chat with someone in the internet or see some English movie, you will learn lot from them.
Here is some web sites, “Dictionary.com”, “Internet Movie Database” , “Wikipedia” , “Google Earth” . Let me introduce them. “Dictionary.com” lists definitions from several dictionaries. It also has a thesaurus and search engine. “Internet Movie Database” has information on more than 400000 movies. It also lists information on all your favorite movie stars. “Wikipedia” is the most popular reference site online. It is a free, online encyclopedia. “Google Earth” , with it you can see pictures of any place on Earth. But you must download its special software.
These web sites are good to improve English, if you can use them frequently. In fact you can get these web sites from classmates or teacher or magazine. After all, no matter how useful with these web sites, you have to do it, or it would no use for you.
